Although there are many negative examples when they suffer from anorexia and bulimia to remain skinny, we want to give you an example of a healthy diet some models keep to. Of course, as with any diet it is important to remember that dieting can do little when you don't do any sports at all. If you can't go in for serious sports due to certain health problems or your age it is always possible to be more active - to walk a lot or do some mild exercising.
Secondly, you need to remember that your health is more important than your appearance, which means if you feel bad when on diet you should stop it immediately and consult a doctor. You shouldn't cut the vitally important products, the body should still get all the vitamins, minerals and the rest of necessary nutrients.
If you are on a diet then you'll have to get used to various temptations surrounding you - your family members and friends probably won't want to give up eating fast food and chocolate for you. But strong will and motivation - if you have them - will certainly help you.
Speaking about models again, we want to give you an example of a diet, recommended by one of the most successful model bookers in the world. Here it is:
- Breakfast - some porridge based on water with the addition of a few nuts, raisins and a spoonful of honey.
- Second breakfast - 100 grams of either fish or chicken with a little bit of rice and lettuce (as much as you wish)
- Lunch - 300 grams of any fruit you like with the exception of grapes
- Dinner - 100 grams of fish or chicken with rice or buckwheat and lettuce
- Supper - 100 grams of chicken or fish with lettuce
There you are - now you know what models eat to remain thin. Of course, it doesn't have to be so tough for the rest of people, as we are not aspiring to the abnormally low weight. As long as you eat not less than 4 times a day, don't exclude fruit, vegetables and meat and exercise, the fat will disappear while the healthy weight is going to stay. The most important thing you have to remember is that no one can make you keep to a diet - it is your decision and your responsibility, so do it in a sensible and healthy way.

Why do you disallow me to eat grapes...? I am also thinking that this would not be enough calories for my body? I am normal weight but you say it is for a model so maybe it's too little? That is unless I want to be a model... (And I don't) I would only like to shed 7 pounds maybe - it's just it seems difficult to lose this! It does not matter what I do.. =(

Nobody can disallow you to eat anything, it's just grapes is really rich in calories which makes it undesirable to eat it for those that want to lose weight. There are many other beautiful fruit and berries though. This article is devoted to a modelling diet, therefore if you have no intent to have a model's weight, then of course you can and you should eat more as long as it's healthy. It may be difficult to lose weight if one exludes exercising and sticks to only dieting, is it your case?

Hello :) Well I may be male, and perhaps a little uneducated in this area. Maybe it's better for Maria to reply! Heh. BUT, I would say that most people have a layer of fat over their stomachs, which tends to lead to embarrassment. It is natural, and doesn't mean you're fat! 12 stone is a good weight. However, if you feel that it is a problem, at your tender age of 14, it would be suicidal to go on a diet, since you're still growing, and you don't want to take away lots of the good things that your body needs when it's growing. At 14, and for quite a few years after that, your body needs a good amount of calories, but you can get calories from other things -- nuts, bananas, fruit juices, yoghurts, pasta, and other such foods are really healthy, but high in calories too (calories are only a measurement of energy -- nothing bad). Therefore if you're feeling hungry, try one of those foods (or drinks). At 14 though, you're probably better to go in for some sports. Do you enjoy hockey, or gymnastics, something like this? That would be great for losing that little bit of "fat" off your stomach. It will be gone before you know about it :)

Well, if your friend is in pain then naturally she needs to consult a doctor as soon as possible, as all diets are individual, who knows what it may lead to if she continues like that.
I'm a 17yr old male weighing about 240lbs. I'm on a diet and going to the gym. Any suggestions in what to eat? By the way, I DO NOT look what I weight. I look like I weigh only 200lbs the most, but unfortunately I don't. And I'm also 5'6.
